Operation Doggie Treats was created in memory of my beloved German Shepherd, Gunner. He was only 8 years old when he crossed rainbow bridge in April of 2016. I wanted to keep his memory alive by “paying it forward” and helping other dogs is how I decided to do this. Gunner was very spoiled and loved his doggie treats. I couldn’t imagine any dog not having treats but shelter dogs probably don’t always have this luxury. After hearing from a friend, Donna Gold, that volunteers at a shelter, I found out that the shelter was running low on Doggie Treats, so I created Operation Doggie Treats. Our mission is: Getting doggie treats (and other needed supplies)to dogs in local shelters & beyond. Since 12/2016, Operation Doggie Treats has delivered approximately 2700 pounds of treats to local shelters and beyond. Achieved recognition of 501(c)3 in 2017 as a non-profit charity. We welcome and appreciate donations of any denomination. In November (2017) we hosted our 1st raffle which raised approx $1500.00, which allows us to continue helping more dogs in shelters, everywhere. Please consider donating and if unable share this site with dog lovers everywhere. We also have a Facebook page, check it out. Thanks for visiting our site. View all posts by operationdoggietreats
